Temporary protected bike lane pop-up

We hope y’all had as much fun riding in the pop-up Atlantic Avenue parking-separated bike lanes as we did! What a great way to get to the already awesome First Fridays Long Beach in Bixby Knolls. Let us know what you thought about the temporary lanes, and if/where you’d like to see similar physically-separated bike lanes in Long Beach. ‪#‎LBbikeplan‬

This is a great idea. Northwestern Long Beach has some large gaps in the bicycle system network, mainly in the north-south direction. Seems like Atlantic and Orange would be prime candidates to re-stripe an provide bike-friendly infrastructure. Keep it up!

The more bike infrastructure the better! The more we can ride safely the less cars there will be on the road. I love that I can get in shape while helping the environment and alleviate traffic. More of us should be biking.
