The Long Beach Press Telegram reports on the city council approval of a citywide bikeshare program that will bring 2,500 bikes and 250 kiosks to Long Beach. At a cost of $12 million, the project is 100% privately funded by BikeNation, who will manufacture all the bikes and kiosks domestically.

I am very happy that bike-sharing program is appearing in Long Beach. Overall this is a popular type of business and I have seen several US cities in the news because they have these programs. A new one in NYC just appeared by the way.
